Summit Recognized by Eaton for Supplier Excellence
Summit Receives Award for Third Year in a Row
|
Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation honored 42 of its best suppliers at its third Supplier Awards Program on April 1, 2008 at the downtown Cleveland Marriott.
Among the award winners was Summit Energy, who received recognition from Eaton for outstanding support of Eaton’s effort to reduce energy consumption, manage risk and expand its global energy management program. The company was also recognized last year as a Top Supplier.
Richard D. Holder, Vice President – Eaton Business System, said, “Of the thousands of Eaton suppliers around the world these are the best in terms of quality, productivity, innovation and technology.”
The award winners fall within one of three supplier categories: Direct, Indirect or Logistics. Direct Materials suppliers are those which provide goods used directly in the making of products; Indirect Materials and Services suppliers provide goods used to make products or support the business and Logistics suppliers handle the transportation of goods inbound from the supplier and outbound to customers.
Steve Wilhite, CEO of Summit Energy, said, “We are honored to have been named one of Eaton Corporation’s top suppliers for three years in a row among the thousands of suppliers working with Eaton across the globe. We value our ongoing relationship with Eaton and will continue to provide the quality of service that they have come to expect from us.”
