Summit was founded in 1991 to provide customers with unbiased, independent and professional energy management services. The company began as a small operation in Louisville, Kentucky, focused on gas strategies. It quickly added electricity and alternative fuels to its growing list of services, and it began attracting leading financial and energy professionals in the energy industry.

Today, Summit is comprised of more than 300 energy professionals in nine international offices managing nearly $20 billion in annualized global energy spend. Our clients include global Fortune 1000-sized companies, as well as diverse regional companies that leverage our energy industry-leading experience. Our global energy management services include energy procurement, energy risk management and utility consulting. Crude oil forecasting and natural gas hedging also are among our core services.
